Video Design commissioned us to scan Alexandra Palace for a one-off Coldplay x BTS gig, with a projection-mapped Ally Pally as the backdrop to the band. In addition to scanning the building we were also responsible for generating a clean media server ready model, along with a content template for the animation team and used to help with the multi projector line-up. Not only did we scan the part of the building that was to be projected on we also captured the surrounding areas and promenade. By capturing a larger topological area we also produced an accurate low poly mesh to aid with the technical planning for projection towers and production layout.
